It’s always an honor when a client tells you that they are selecting you to be their Bullitt County Newborn Photographer. I still get a little giddy inside with every single booking. Clients are trusting me to pose their sweet little babies at merely days old, so I don’t take that honor lightly.

The Holzknecht’s came to me as a referral from a girl I went to high school with. It amazes me the connections we have in life and how they come back around! Kayla was excited about her son’s session and asked for rustic styling. I think we accomplished that with Grayson’s gallery. All of my sessions start out with siblings, then a family shot and end with parents for the images of family and baby together. Once we have all of those shots, then dad and siblings are free to leave the studio and go have a bite to eat and pick up mom when we are finished. A lot of my clients send the siblings home with a grandparent or family friend so that they can focus on all of the setups with baby only. It’s fun to watch as their new baby is being posed and it relieves small children from being in a hot studio for very long as they can become uncomfortable quite quickly.

Once I start on baby only poses, I generally will move to the beanbag and get those shots before working my way over to props. I feel like working with props at the end are my reward for a session well done since props are my favorite! Below are the images the family chose for their walls. Each image is selected by the client from a gallery of 100+ images and we walk through them one by one together about a week after the session.
