I know some people struggle to think of what to blog about, but I never seem to have that problem as a Louisville KY Newborn Photographer.  I get to work with adorable babies for my job and sometimes even two at a time, like with this session.  Meet Dean and William.  The sweetest newborn twin boys you’ll ever lay eyes on.  They had an adoring older sister and two parents that all love them to pieces, which was very clear when they showed up for their session at the end of August.

Out of all of the portraits that I take throughout the session, parent shots are by far my favorites.  Siblings are a close 2nd!  Especially when you see a family as proud of their new babies as this one is!

Newborn sessions are so much fun, but don’t get me wrong, they are DOUBLE THE WORK with sets of multiple babies!  Did you know that I charge the same price for a single baby as I do for twins?  Yep!  That’s right!  🙂  I believe that if a new family is already investing in professional photos at my studio, then why penalize them for bringing me double the cuteness?   I do all of my single baby sessions solo, but I always have an assistant on hand for twin sessions though because I need the extra set of hands.  It’s takes a lot of time to meticulously pose one baby, let alone two!  I’m still waiting on my first set of triplets!  Send them my way if you come across a mommy pregnant with some!!

These little studs were perfect for us though!  Just a few more shots of them together.  We also did flokati wrap poses with each baby to get their macro shots.  Too many to share in this little blog post!

The Potato sack pose is perfectly named. Don’t they look so cute?

By this time, William was ready to wake up and see what was going on at the posing party and did the last setup with Dean by himself.  <3

Nothing excites me more about being a newborn photographer than a baby coming into the studio with a head full of hair.  Tucker left nothing to be desired with his awesome locks!  From the moment I saw him in his carrier I was in love!  I can see where he got it from, too.  Both mom and dad had thick gorgeous hair, so it must run in the family. 🙂

Louisville KY Newborn Photographer | Jennifer Rittenberry Photography | www.jlritt.com

A few days after their session, Tucker’s mom sent me an email and had such wonderful words to say about her experience in my studio.  I’d like to share them with you so you can get a small glimpse into one of my newborn sessions from the other side of the lens:

“Photography is clearly a passion of hers and she works very well with children.  Tucker was a little over 3 weeks old so he didn’t sleep very well for the session and Jennifer was very patient with trying to calm him and get those sweet, sleepy newborn shots.  When she put up the first preview on her Facebook page, I was very impressed.  Having a 4 year old as well, I learned very quickly that babies grow and change so much every single day & it’s important to capture those moments.  I take a million pictures of my babies on my phone, but I love having pictures that are frame and wall worthy.  Jennifer did a great job and I would recommend her to anyone who is looking for a photographer to capture images of their family.”

I can’t tell you how much it means to me or how rewarding it is to hear such reaffirming words.  This is why I specialize in newborn photography.  I want each and every one of my clients to feel at ease as they hand over their precious newborn to me, knowing that I will give extreme care to safely pose their child.  If I could be on the other side of the computer each time they see the first sneak peek, those moments would be invaluable to me.  The awe-filled expressions, the gasps in excitement and utter happiness they feel when they see their baby as a beautiful art through their photos.

Below are a few of my favorites from their session <3

I love being a newborn photographer in Louisville KY and meeting families like this one just makes my job that much sweeter.  You see, Amanda was diagnosed with breast cancer during her 33rd week of pregnancy.  This beautiful momma is only 27 years old.  At 34 weeks, she had her first chemo treatment and at 36 weeks she delivered her baby girl by c-section. After 8 days in the NICU due to lung issues, they both finally got to go home just in time for Amanda’s 2nd round of chemo.  These two girls have had a rough start together, but the love and amazing bond they have was apparent throughout their session.  However, the thing I noticed most was Amanda’s love for life and pure inner joy for being here and able to share this moment with her daughter.  They are both fighters in my book!Louisville KY Newborn Photographer | Jennifer Rittenberry Photography | www.jlritt.comBelow are a few words from Amanda about her experience in my studio:

” I recently had the pleasure of having photos of my daughter Ida Grace taken by Jennifer. As soon as you get there she makes you completely comfortable and talks with you like you’ve known each other for years even though you’ve just met her. For me personally, she engaged in conversation about my daughter and her stay in the NICU and also talked with me about the breast cancer battle I am fighting while taking care of my little one. She really takes the time to make your experience a personal one and doesn’t just snap a few shots and move on. You can tell that newborn photography is her passion just by watching how she handles your baby and interacts with them; she even took a few of me and my daughter together which really meant a lot to me to be able to have a high quality photo of the two of us after all we’ve been through. When I finally got to see our sneak peeks I was absolutely blown away; her work is absolutely stunning! My daughter truly looks like an angel in her photos and the one of us together is perfect. You can just see the mother-daughter connection and love between us. It really meant a lot to myself and my family to have beautiful photos to treasure of our sweet little girl. I highly recommend her to anyone wanting photos of their children and family.”

Sometimes I still have to pinch myself that photographing babies is really my job as a Louisville KY Newborn Photographer.  I get to snuggle up to these tiny humans and breathe in their undeniable newborn scent for a living.  I don’t think it gets any better than that <3

Meet Ella.  She was what we like to call a “dream baby” in the newborn industry.  She didn’t make a peep or even blink an eye her entire session.  This is just a sneak peek of this little angel, so stay tuned for the rest of her images coming soon!
