It’s not every day that you meet families such as the Schmidt family.  When BrieAnn scheduled their Fresh 48 and Newborn Sessions with me, I was over the moon!  We had previously met through a blog article that I had written after mentoring with Rachel Vanoven and BrieAnn had reached out to me saying how it had touched and inspired her.  Little did I know that my very first blog post would lead to meeting such a wonderful family.

Since the Fresh 48 sessions take place in the hospital after the baby arrives, it’s very important to keep in constant contact with my clients so I know when they have their baby.  As you know, you’re only in the hospital for a few short days so any mis-steps in relaying that the baby is due could result in missing the window of opportunity to do the session.  It’s a joy for me to stay in touch with my clients though and grow to naturally befriend them over time.  That is just another perk of this amazing job.

Below is a little video slideshow of how their hospital session went and a preview of their newborn session.

At this time, I am only taking birth requests on a case by case basis.  You can contact me at Hello@JLRitt.com to see if I’d be the right fit to be your Birth Photographer.  I also shoot Fresh 48 sessions, which are short sessions taken while you’re still in the hospital and are lifestyle type of portraits documenting your natural interactions with your new baby.   Studio newborn sessions are where my heart lies and get to show off my talent with fully posed sleeping babies.  I would love the opportunity to be your Newborn Photographer; babies are my passion and I’d love to create some art for you!
