It’s always fun meeting new clients and is one of the reasons why I love being a Louisville KY Baby Photographer. I met Kinsley and her mother at her 9 month milestone session back in the Fall. She has sass for days, a smile that puts sunshine to shame and the biggest brown eyes I’ve ever seen. In one word, gorgeous. She came into the studio for her 1st birthday cake smash session, which was themed to the tune of Minnie Mouse. Now, I don’t know where her mom tracked down all of these adorable Minnie Mouse props, but she gets a gold star for being the most prepared mother ever for a session! She showed up with a whole suitcase full of themed accessories, no really, I’m.not.kidding… Minnie Mouse suitcase to boot!
I generally like to start my cake smash sessions off with the formal shots and cutesy prop shots and then on to the main event. Here’s a little how our session flowed in order below…

Have you ever seen such a cute diaper cover as this? Personalized with YOUR name on them? Nope. Didn’t think so. lol

All in all, I think she liked the cake! Shooting on a Savage Backdrop here from B&H Photo. They can be found at https://www.facebook.com/bhphoto. These make for quick an easy cleanups after a messy cake smash. Tear the piece off and throw it away!
